Hello, there!

“It’s an amazing world. We just need to see it.”
The Bald Birder Blog
It started with five sentences and one image, but it grew a little, and helped me a lot.
This blog started just days before the (first) Coronavirus lockdown in the UK in March 2020. My pledge at the time? To write a daily post consisting of five sentences – occasionally more, never less for the following 365 days. Adding at least one image, video or sound clip.
Over time, I saw more, and felt obliged to write about it. Soon after my year long journey came to an end, I decided to start it up again, but a little less regularly. I realised that I didn’t want to stop looking, or noticing what was around me and what makes my local patch so rich.
I use the blog to help me appreciate that there is always something of interest right under my nose or surprisingly nearby. So, I will continue to write about the things I do, the people in my life, but mostly the simple things I see around me; often right there on my doorstep.
It’s an amazing world. I just need to see it.
